Meet Our Dedicated Swim Instructors
At Winchester Swim Academy, our team of experienced, passionate instructors is dedicated to creating a safe, fun environment where swimmers of all ages can thrive. Guided by American Red Cross standards, our professionals bring a wealth of knowledge and a strong commitment to teaching water safety while building confidence in every swimmer. We take pride in fostering both skill development and a lifelong respect for the water, driven by the expertise and enthusiasm that define our mission.
Austin Bellamy
Austin is one of Winchester Swin Academy’s WSI Coordinators. She can be found teaching group lessons, private lessons and coaching swim team throughout the year. She has been working at WCCPR for the last 5 years. In addition, she coaches for the Swimchester Sailfish and Winchester Country Club.
She holds the following certifications:
- Swim America Site Supervisor
- American Red Cross WSI
- SwimAngelfish Level I
- ASCA Level 2
- USA Swimming
Her passion is educating students the proper technique of each stroke. Her previous coaching experience include LCA and Dunbar High School swim teams, as well as Beaumont YMCA Barracudas, all in Lexington. The love of teaching and coaching began in 1998 when she started with summer swim lessons and a summer league team for LFUCG Parks and Recreation. She went on the become WSI Coordinator and Meet Director for Aquatics Department at Parks and Recreation, helping to bring many improvements. Athletically, Coach Austin swam for Wildcat Aquatics in Lexington, KY and Signature Club. She currently resides in Winchester with her husband, Robert, and their 4 children.
Emily Warner
Emily has been swimming competitively since 2017 and has worked as a lifeguard since 2020. She loves seeing her student’s confidence grow in the water as they master new skills. She is excited to share her knowledge and love of swimming to learners of all ages!
Ethan Hatfield
Ethan has been a competitive swimmer since 2013. Recently, he has been working as a lifeguard over the past year and also worked with a local swim team teaching stroke technique. He feels as though swimming is an important life skill that everyone should learn. He enjoys sharing his love of the water with kids of all ages!
Harper Sebulsky
Harper has been involved in competitive swimming for nine years and has been lifeguard certified for one year. She enjoys working with children and is passionate about teaching everyone the skills necessary to be safe and confident in or outside the water.
Zoee Sheets
Zoee started swimming competitively in 2015. Over the last couple of years, she has been helping younger swimmers on Swimchester Sailfish learn proper stroke technique. She loves seeing students grow in their love of the water as well as their self-confidence. She believers swimming is an important part of life that everyone should get the chance to learn.
Aubrey Southworth
Aubrey has been swimming competitively for nine years. She is committed to teaching proper swim technique in a safe and positive manner. She believes swimming can be a lifelong sport or recreation and is looking forward to sharing her love of the water with others.
Maggie
Maggie has been a competitive swimmer on the USA Swimchester Sailfish Team since 3rd grade. She is also a member of the GRC High School Swim Team. Summer 2025 she was a coach for the WCCPR Waverunners and is currently a coach for the Swimchester Junior team. She loves teaching children something that she loves as well.
Erin Southwood
Erin has been a certified lifeguard at WCCPR for over a year. She is excited about swimming for GRC High School this winter. She has experience working with children of all ages throughout her church. She is most excited about seeing students learn new things.
Clara Jane
Clara Jane was a USA Club swimmer for 9 years. As well as being a certified Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, she is also a certified lifeguard. She knows swimming can be so much fun and can’t wait to help students see that. She looks forward to seeing kids grow in confidence both in and out of the water.
Hannah
Hannah has always enjoyed being in the water whether swimming with friends or competing on a team. She has also fallen in love with mountain biking and is currently a coach for the Clark County Cycling Team. She loves encouraging others to learn new skills.
Avery Meek
Avery is currently in her 5th year swimming competitively. She loves the water and working with kids. She has taught private swim lessons for 2 summers. She is excited to see kids of all ages grow and develop as they gain confidence and skills in the water.
Kalina Callahan
Kalina is a certified TRX trainer and WSI, She has been teaching swim lessons since 2023. Kalina teaches both group and private lessons and is one of the lead instructors for the Clark County Preschool “Swim at the Gym” program. She’s worked at the WCCPR facility since 2020. Other activities she enjoys outside of teaching swim lessons are TRX/exercising, reading, spending time with friends, and being outdoors.
Ella Cravens
Ella has been teaching swim lessons since 2020. On top of teaching swim, Ella also works as a lifeguard and is currently in Nursing School. She has always had a love for the water and loves spending time with kiss of all ages while teaching them how to swim.
Vivian Wright
Vivian has worked as an Adapted Aquatics Specialist and WSI for many years. Her experience includes working with children and adults, with a variety of mental, physical and emotional impairments, in the pool environment. She likes the challenge of creative problem solving and achieves this by using the ARC’s “Learn to Swim Program” templates to accommodate the needs of everyone. Further, she has over a decade of experience as a Water Exercise Instructor for older adults. Her happy place is swimming laps and staying healthy.
Morgan Pelfrey
Morgan started swimming competitively in 1st grade and continued on through high school. She started teaching swim lessons in high school, and since then, has continued to as time has allowed. She began coaching competitive swim 8 years ago as the assistant coach for both Montgomery County High School and Swimchester Sailfish. To her, swim is not only for safety, but also part of a healthy lifestyle.
